About Me
I grew up in church. I was saved when I was 12 years old in a Southern Baptist church. I knew I was a sinner condemned to hell unless I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
I have been happily married ten years to my wife, Melissa. We have one daughter.

What I Believe
DENOMINATIONAL I am a Southern Baptist, because I believe that Southern Baptists are nearer to being a true New Testament Church than any other denomination. I feel that the Cooperative Program is the best way to support Southern Baptist work including missions.
DOCTRINAL I believe the Bible is infallible and inerrant. I believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by The Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin. He took the sinners’ punishment for sin when he was crucified. His resurrection from the grave was bodily and he lives today at The Right Hand of God, The Father. God is Triune, manifesting himself equally and totally as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe that the local church is a New Testament establishment for the purpose of evangelism, missions, stewardship, fellowship and discipleship. I fully affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

I’m new to your blog, and I linked here from “Reason for the Hope”, and I linked there from the Jerry Vines message board. I enjoyed your site, and will visit in the future.

Great site. Just found it. I’m from Clinton, SC, and pastor north of Oxford, NC, near the VA line as I work through a second masters at Southeastern Seminary.

I would be glad to do so. It is a drawing of a Spartan soldier. I have always admired the Spartans for their discipline. They always went into battle fully prepared. Paul exhorts Timothy to be a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2Tim 2:3) and he also told believers in Ephesus to put on the full armor of God (Eph 6:14-17). With these verses in mind, this picture reminds me to be a good soldier of Christ and to make sure that I have on the full armor of God.

LOL I haven’t driven a Caddy since Billy Ray Cyrus had a mohawk and even then it was a 1980 Caddy.

Hey Quinn:
Listen to Eric Redmond’s sermon from today at SEBTS. Good for the blogosphere. Should start some talk about our natural self-righteousness that frequently is seen out here. I have been happy to see that you handle your blog better than I would.

Jesus was neither riglt or left .
He was for right and not wrong.
He was for good and not evil.
He was for peace not war.
He was for genorisity not greed.
Look at his miracles.
You have to go to jesus by doing what he would do.
True Christianity is practised all of the time not just one hour on Sunday.
If you truly believe in God you would understand that he is not Mock and the only way to salvation is doing what Jesus would do.
Always ask yourself what would Jesus do?.
