Having worn those shoes…well, they were just issueing desert boots when I did my time in the sand, that means in Army speak…the Division, Corps and Army level staff pukes had them, and the guys that were in the desert humping around with little water to wash their feet or service their boots didn’t. I digress.
No one understands what it is like to make desicions under fire, with men’s lives depending on your thinking or performance of a task.
Love the American soldier (marine, sailor and…even airman). They do a job that needs to be done that no one else wishes to do, sometimes they don’t either.
